Biography.

He was born on 6 February 1937 in the Okinawa prefecture and died on 2 January 2020, is a writer, realistic writer and Japanese writer specialising in adventure and science fiction programmes for youth. His best-known works in France but rewritten for adaptation are Uchū Keiji Gyaban (Space Sheriff Gavan / X-Or), Uchū kaizoku Captain Harlock (Albator 78) and UFO Robo Grendizer (Grendizer / Grendiser / Grendiser / Grandizer / Goldorak). For this series of animation "cult" in France (and as for Harlock), he was a leading writer, author of 22 episodes (among his most notable works by fans), and before that he was the screenwriter of the film "Uchū Enban Dasusthesstusburg" in the series "Horrowful" in the series of "Horrows" in the series of "Horrows, written in the 22-pages (including his most famous songs by fans, "Grecords and songs by fans), "Grephons", and "Grephons" in the most famous songs by fans), and "Greights by fans, and was before that was the writer of the film writer of the film writer by "Us "Us" in the series "Hus" in the moviess" in the series "Hor "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor" in the authorssor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor" in the songs", "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, "Hor, As a result of the intensification of the Pacific War, the family was temporarily evacuated to Taiwan in September 1944. At the time when it returned to Naha a month later, the city was destroyed by an air raid and the boat and its passengers arrived hardly in Kagoshima. The family moved to Kumamoto Prefecture and led a life of evacuated people there. After the end of the war in 1946, she returned home to Okinawa and the young Shōzō followed her school course in Ishikawa (now Uruma), then in Tamagusuku (now Nanjō).At Naha High School, he became passionate about movies released in theatre and the western Shane became a real encounter with the cinema.During his studies at Chuo University's Faculty of Letters, he wrote amateur scenarios. After obtaining his university degree at 25 years old, tuberculosis forced him to return to his family for care. There, his mother introduced him to Tetsuo Kinjō, a native of Naha and "cinephile like him".Kinjō who had incorporated Tsuburaya Productions a little earlier invited him to Tokyo where he met Eiji Tsuburaya. He learned there that to be a writer, he should first win a distinction. He then wrote a draft script on the theme of the battle of Okinawa,. (Collect of Ashes), which in 1964 received a public prize with mention at the Festival of Arts. Back in Tokyo to attend the award ceremony, he joined Tsuburaya Productions to assist Kinjō.In 1965, after making his debut as a writer in the drama Shimiru Surunu of the local program of Okinawa "kyōdo gekijō", he began as a screenwriter for the national series "Mynarison 21" (Episode 21). About half of Ultra Seven, because Kinjō then the lead writer focused on Mighty Jack, many scenarios were attributed to the young Uehara and Ichikawa (his partner). Uehara continued to develop his talents and skills in Kaiki Daisakusen. In 1969, Kinjō left Tsuburaya Productions and returned to Okinawa at the same time as Uehara left for his side, becoming an independent writer. He returned in 1971 as the lead writer for Kaettekita Ultraman (Ultraman's return). He continued with Ultraman A (Ultraman Ace), but left the adventure again at the beginning of the next Ultraman Tarō work. He then worked mainly for the Tōei Dōga studio on successful works. He became responsible for children's programs and wrote for Tokusatsu and Anime series. He wrote many other scenarios for Tōei such as Jikū Senshi Spielban (Spielvan) and the Chōriki Sentai Ohranger of 1995 will be his last work for the studio. He wrote sporadically thereafter for other "Ultra" series such as Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Max.In the field of special effects, he often worked with Susumu Yoshikawa (producer of Tōei) who since Ultraman's Return advised him to write for the program "Tōshiba nichiyō gekijō" (Toshiba Sunday Theatre), which would have allowed him a more comfortable income, but Uehara never wanted to give up the programs for Youth and therefore persisted in this field.
