Alexander Finkenwirth (b. 1986 in Wiesbaden) is a German theatre and film actor. Finkenwirth grew up in Frankfurt am Main. His mother is from Brazil, his father from Germany. Furthermore, he also has Russian-born ancestors, which is why he speaks Russian fluently among other things.After graduating from high school, he started studying law, which he broke off after two semesters. From 2009 to 2013 he studied acting at the Filmhochschule Babelsberg Konrad Wolf (HFF).From the 2012/13 season he was engaged as a permanent ensemble member at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam. In the 2015/16 season he appeared at the Hans Otto Theater in new productions by Peer Gynt (as young Peer Gynt; director: Alexander Nerlich, premiere: April 2016) and Ein Sommernachtstraum (as Lysander; director: Kerstin Kusch, premiere: June 2016). At the end of the 2015/16 season he retired from the permanent ensemble of the Hans Otto Theater in order to devote himself to further film tasks in the future. As a guest, Finkenwirth continued to work for the roles Peer Gynt and Lysander in the 2016/17 season.Finkenwirth has also been working regularly for film and television since 2011.
