Biography

Virginie Vignon is a French actress born on January 5, 1947. She began filming in 1966 in Tendre Voyou by Jean Becker. The following year she appeared in films by Jean-Luc Godard (Week-End) and Alain Robbe-Grillet (Trans-Europ-Express). Like many actresses of her generation, she went through erotic cinema in the first half of the 1970s. She was then found in successes like Et la tendresse? Bordel! or in L'Été murdererier by Jean Becker. But, on a large screen, she is most often confined to secondary roles such as Hibernatus d'Édouard Molinaro, or she plays the soubrettes alongside Louis de Funès. She is, on the other hand, very active on television where she is seen in successful series such as La Dame de Monsoreau, Les Faucheurs de marguerites, Les Brigades du Tigre or Les Enquiries du Commissaire Maigret. She is still very regularly on the small screen throughout the 1980s and 1990s. From 1997 to 2003, she holds the role of the clerk in 16 episodes of the series Les Cordier, judge and cop. After eight years of absence, she is seen on the small screen in 2011 in an episode of Research Section.
