
Biography
Nina Pourlak (born 4 December 1973 in West Berlin) is an Iranian-German writer, screenwriter and director. After her studies in the field of screenplay at the German Film and Television Academy (Dffb) from 2004 to 2006, she made her first attention to herself with the documentary Es geht um Alles über den Boxweltmeister Arthur Abraham and his coach Uli Wegner. In 2009 her first novel Besser als Nix appeared, which was filmed in 2012 by director Ute Wieland with François Goeske as the leading actor. In 2013 she and her partner Jasin Mjumjunov filmed the love drama Für Immer, which was shown for the first time at the 2014 film festival Biberach in the debut competition, was invited to numerous other festivals and was awarded the best feature film at the borderland film days in Selb 2015. Pourlak lives and works with her partner in Bonn.
