Johannes Krell (born 17 September 1982 in Halle (Saale)) is a German documentary filmmaker (director, screenplay, camera, editing) and sound designer. Krell studied audiovisual media/camera at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin. He has been working freelance as a cinematographer, film editor and sound designer since 2008. He graduated from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in 2018. As a participant in the Berlinale Short Film Competition, he won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film 2019 together with Florian Fischer.
