Robert Beavers (nascido em 1949) é um cineasta experimental americano. Nascido e criado em Massachusetts, ele participou da Academia Deerfield que deixou antes de se mudar para Nova Iorque em 1965 para prosseguir a produção cinematográfica. Ele viveu em Nova Iorque até 1967, quando ele e seu parceiro, Gregory Markopoulos, deixaram os Estados Unidos para a Europa, onde eles continuaram a viver e fazer filmes até a morte de Markopoulos em 1992. Ambos os cineastas restringiram as projeções de seus filmes depois de deixar a América, e em vez disso realizou projeções anuais de seu trabalho de 1980 a 1986 no Temenos, um local perto de Lyssaraia em Arcadia, Grécia. Após a morte de Markopoulos, Beavers fundou Temenos, Inc., um sem fins lucrativos dedicados à preservação de seu trabalho e de Markopoulos.
