Plot.
The story follows a Roman architect named Lucius, who is having trouble coming up with ideas. One day, he discovers a hidden tunnel underneath a spa that leads him to a modern Japanese bath house. Inspired by the innovations found there, he creates his own spa, Roma Thermae, bringing in the modern ideas to his time.

Thermae Romee is a 2012 Japanese film directed by Hideki Takeuchi and produced by Fuji TV.The subject is taken from the homonymous manga written by Mari Yamazaki, with the famous actor Hiroshi Abe in the role of the protagonist Lucius Modestus and the popular idol Aya Ueto in the costumes of Mari Yamakoshi.It was primarily directed at Cinecittà, using the same backgrounds used for other European and American productions focused on Ancient Rome (all over, the popular TV series Rome), recorded a mixed cast of Italian and Japanese actors, and was presented in a world premiere at the 2012 Far East Film Festival in Udine.
