Heimebane — known as Home Ground outside Norway — is a Norwegian drama television series that began its broadcast on television channels NRK1 and NRK TV in March 2018. The series tells the story of Helena Mikkelsen, the first coach of a men's football team newly promoted to the first Norwegian division, the fictional Varg IL. The production is starring actress Ane Dahl Torp and features in the show with John Carew, former player of the Valencia Football Club. The series originated media debates after each episode and has been hailed both by critics and by the audience. With only two seasons she has been awarded in the 2018 and 2019 editions of Gullruten, the annual ceremony that rewards the Norwegian television industry.
