January 2010, Rosarno, Calabria. Immigrants' anger demonstrations expose the conditions of degradation and injustice in which thousands of African braves live daily, exploited by an economy strongly influenced by the mafia power of the 'Ndrangheta. For a moment Italy notices them, is afraid of them, reacts violently, and in a few hours Rosarno is "cleared" and the problem "solved". But the faces and stories of the protagonists of Rosarno's clashes say that it is not so. Finding them and giving them voice is perhaps today the only way to restore to the country their memory: that of those days of violence and that of their own recent past of rural misery.
