Plot.
An ordinary day in the megacity of Istanbul: Ten-year-old Cemo sells paper tissues in the streets, Hayat is controlled by her husband and transsexual Ebru sells her body. All three have a secret love and they do everything that satisfies their longing, if only for a moment. Köpek – Stories from Istanbul (original title: Köpek) is a 2015 episode film by Turkish-Swiss director Esen Işık, starring Oğuzhan Sancar, Beren Tuna and Çağla Akalın. The director Işik's feature film debut premiered at the 2015 Zurich Film Festival and won the 2016 Swiss Film Prize for Best Film and Best Actress (Beren Tuna).The film is dedicated to the Italian artist Pippa Bacca, who was raped and murdered on her 'peace journey', which she was supposed to lead from Milan to Jerusalem by hitchhiker and bride dress, on the outskirts of Istanbul.
