Ultraman Cosmos 2: THE BLUE PLANET (ウルトラマンコスモス2 THE BLUE PLANET, Urutoraman Kosumosu Tsū: Za Burū Puranetto) is Cosmos's second theatrical film adaptation, kaiju and superhero film and was released in Japan on August 3, 2002. It is a tokusatsu film in the Ultraman franchise, it is also a direct sequel to the original Ultraman Cosmos television series.A re-edited version of the film, Ultraman Cosmos 2: The Blue Planet - Young Musashi Chapter (ウルトラマンコスモス2 THE BLUE PLANET ムサシ（13才）少年編, Urutoraman Kosumosu Tsū: Za Burū Puranetto Musashi (13-sai) shōnen-hen)was produced as an alternate version for the film due to Taiyo Sugiura's arrest before the uncut version's premiere, replacing most of his on-screen scenes with newly filmed parts.
