Beyond Wiseguys: Italian Americans & the Movies is a 2008 American documentary directed and produced by Steven Fischler. The film deals with the history of Italian immigrants and their descendants in American cinema, from stereotypes in gangster movies to renowned filmmakers. The film contains highlights of films and interviews with contemporary film figures such as David Chase, Dominic Chianese, Ben Gazzara, Chazz Palminteri, Isabella Rossellini, Susan Sarandon, Martin Scorsese, Marisa Tomei, Stanley Tucci and John Turturro, who was also the executive producer of the project.
