Kafkas Der Bau is a German film by Jochen Alexander Freydank, who also wrote the screenplay and produced the film.It is the first film adaptation of the story The Construction of Franz Kafka, which lasted for a period of 10 years until its completion.The world premiere took place on 4 October 2014 at the Busan International Film Festival. Subsequently, the film was shown at various international film festivals such as the Warsaw International Film Festival (European premiere), the Edinburgh International Film Festival or the Shanghai International Film Festival. The film premiered in Germany on 9 July 2015.
