Ziegfeld and its follies (Ziegfeld: The Man and His Women) is a 1978 television film directed by Buzz Kulik that reconstructs the biography of the famous businessman Florenz Ziegfeld, played by Paul Shenar. At his side Samantha Eggar in the role of Billie Burke, his second wife, and Barbara Parkinsons in those of Anna Held, his first wife, a famous singer born in Poland who populated Broadway in the years between '800 and '900. Among the other characters in history, some of the most famous names of the show of the time, from Fanny Brice to Irving Berlin.
