Plot.
May 1734. In the aftermath of the Battle of Bitonto, which definitively brought the Kingdom of Naples under the rule of Charles of Bourbon, Alfonso of Van Worden, the Vallone guard at the service of King Charles, received from him the order to go to Naples in the shortest possible time. Despite Lopez, his trusted servant, trying to dissuade him from crossing the Murgese plateau because infested by disturbing spectres and demons, Alfonso likewise set out on a fantastic interweaving, between dream and reality, told through stories of them concatenate in a world populated by brigands, gypsies, forks, cabalists and ghosts, Alfonso will make his long initiatory journey that will lead him, between hallucinations and magic, into mysterious caves, ill-famed dwellings, mad loves and diabolical apparitions.
