The desire is a black and white Mexican film directed by Chano Urueta, according to his own script, based on Hermann Sudermann's novel. It was filmed in 1945 in the Estudios Azteca, premiered on March 12, 1948, and featured Emilio Tuero, Rosita Fornés, Josefina Romagnoli, Jorge Mondragon and Natalia Ortiz.
