Plot.
Fritz Mertens is a journeyman and works for a miller. He never stays in the same place for a long time and has already been around the world, but this time he has a reason to stay: Inge. She is the daughter of a rich host who doesn't like to see Inge get involved with Fritz. He wants his daughter to have a steady husband, who doesn't always suffer from the long-distance pain. But Inge loves Fritz, and that's why she doesn't like to see Kat, the daughter of the organist, also seem to be interested in her husband. Fritz, on the other hand, feels flattered by the affection of the pretty woman and is slowly annoyed by Inge's jealousy. Thus, the couple has some problems that stand between them and their happiness.
