Plot.
After recovering from an overseas mission, Krists Lapins moves into a quiet neighbourhood in Riga. His hopes for a new, peaceful life are disrupted when an unexpected visitor arrives one night. Krists soon finds himself in a swirl of events involving a mysterious blonde, a wannabe private detective, a bankrupt millionaire, and a rigorous cop. In this witty portrayal of modern Latvian society the absurd meets the comic and nothing is what it seems.

Return of Sergeant Lapins (Latvian: Seržanta Lapiņa atgriešanās or initially Tas notika ar viņiem) is a 2010 comedy-drama film directed by Latvian director Gatis Šmits.
The film's plot is based on the play Tas notika ar viņiem (That Happened to Them) written by Gatis Šmits and produced in The New Theatre of Riga in 2007.Before being released on 26 November, the film was screened at the 15th Busan International Film Festival, which took place in October 2010.
