The Time of Secrets and The Time of Loves are the two components of the television adaptation of the two eponymous novels The Time of Secrets and The Time of Loves of the writer and filmmaker Marcel Pagnol.This is the first adaptation to the screen of Volumes III and IV of the Souvenirs d'enfance, in the form of two 90-minute films each, shot in 2006. These two films can therefore - to a certain extent - be considered as the sequels of the two films by Yves Robert, My father's Glory and My mother's Castle released in the cinema in 1990 (some locations being the same).The story is very different from the texts of Pagnol. Thus, the second part includes encounters of Marcel with Isabelle Cassignol, or a passage mentioning Joseph's difficulties in obtaining the academic palms and an intervention on this subject of Uncle Jules to his deputy.
