Plot.
Just like many other parents Jessica and David, the director of this movie, spend a lot of time researching vaccinations for children. Whilst David understands it as a matter of course, Jessica is more than alarmed about the side effects. They try to figure out the best option for their daughter. David actively investigates and speaks to scientists and doctors from different countries. A sudden outbreak of measles in their Berlin neighbourhood forces them to make a decision: Will they vaccinate their daughter or not?

Inoculated is a German documentary film by David Sieveking that shows the lengthy decision-making on the vaccine of his newborn daughter. The film was shown at the 60th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animation Film. The film was co-produced by Flare Film and Lichtblick Film in cooperation with the Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg. The funding came from the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the Hessische Filmfrderung and theDeutsches Filmfrderungsfonds/FFA. Critics mostly passed the film, which dealt with scientific facts.
