Juan Benatti, the tango singer of a typical quartet, is in charge of Ignacio, five years old, the son of the director of the ensemble, Horacio, and Marisa, when his parents are to be exiled for political reasons. Ignacio calls Juan grandfather and will be a father for him. Horacio dies abroad, his mother remarries and claims the child. But since he does not get along well with his mother's new partner, the custody is definitely Juan who will educate the little one until he arrives to be a high school graduate boy, who refuses to be a university student to become a musician of a rocker ensemble of which he will be vocal and animator.
