There are eight episodes of Tod von Freunden. The ensemble series was developed by Friedemann Fromm and deals with a German-Danish island idyll of two four-headed families, which threatens to break apart as a result of the disappearance of a son. The eight episodes were shown in double episodes on their broadcast from 7 February 2021. Each of the individual episodes depicts the story from the perspective of one of the family members.
