When Walter Burton, a forty-year-old postman, falls head over heels one day, he can't imagine what an incredible adventure he's about to have. One day, Claudia, whom he adores, takes her on his daily tours. Everything could have been glamorous if the plane hadn't fallen far from the normal route into the sea. Neither of them is harmed and a nearby island serves as an optimal starting point for the two. It's clear after a short time that the very skilled Claudia has to take care of her survival. While Walter is not even able to catch a tiny fish, she serves him the most colourful delicacies. No wonder he does not make any effort to alert the regularly passing boat to its plight. However, at the moment when the two finally seem to get closer, Claudia discovers that Walter has prevented her rescue all the time.
