Plot.
In the 18th Century, in Bohemia, a government surveyor meet a priest during a lunch and remained intrigued by him. Years later, in a stony valley, the two men meet again and form a deep friendship.

The stone valley is a 1991 film directed by Maurizio Zaccaro. Suitable for the big screen by Zaccaro himself and by Ermanno Olmi (the creator of the subject) by a novel by the Austrian writer Adalbert Stifter, the film was presented in many international festivals, including the 49th Venice Film Festival.
