Plot.
War mini series in style of 9th company. Four episodes are focused on the company of 1st Lt. Alexander Doronin, that is detached to Northern Caucasus in 1990s. Group, which partly consist of young, unexperienced soldiers, is ordered to defend the Storm Gate. It is the target location of large armed group of Chechen warriors, that is preparing a devastating strike.

Grozovye vorota () is a 2006 Russian war miniseries based on Alexander Tamonikov's novel Rota ukhodit v nebo (after the premiere of the film was reprinted several times under the title Grozovye vorota). According to the author, all coincidences of the plot with the course of the battle for the 776 Summit of 2000 are random, since the battle took place after most of the novel was written. In 2007, he was nominated for the State Prize of the Russian Federation.
