Plot.
On the way from England to Australia, Mary Jane, a British ship, sinks in a hurricane in March 1840. Some survivors can save themselves on a small island in the Pacific Ocean: Jan and Eva Lindberg and five other passengers. But it's not easy to live on the small island.
