Elisa Estrada is an intelligent and hardworking woman, who owns a prestigious editorial called El Mercurio. She is married to Armando Zertuche and has four children: Roberto, Miranda, Clara and Enrique. But despite being a successful professional, as a mother and wife she has been very absent. Armando is a good for nothing who lives from his wife's work and does not care about his children either. Therefore, in the absence of the paternal figures, young people suffer from serious personality and behavior disorders. Roberto imitates his father's example and dedicates himself only to good life, while Miranda suffers from cleptomania and Clara has become a mitomania.
