Plot.

Ana Rosa is a young student who is forced by her cruel grandmother Rosario to marry the dreaded and proud Octavio Montero, a very rich man who can take her and her family out of ruin and besides, feels an inordinate obsession with her. During a discussion with Ana Rosa, Otavio suffers an accident and becomes paralyzed, which further worsens her character.
