It was premiered on 3 July 2019 at the Filmfest München and first broadcast on 27 December 2019.The film tells the story of two families who emigrated from Germany to the USA at the same time after World War I. The screenplay is based on the novel The Master Butchers Singinging Club by Louise Erdrich.
