Wiki.
Eleonora is a television screenplay by Rai, written in 1972 by Tullio Pinelli. The main character, Eleonora, is performed by Giulietta Masina. Bruno Nicolai's plot and music evokes the atmosphere of the Italian Risorgimento period. It was made in color, despite the time when the Rai still broadcast in black and white. The second episode (which went on air on December 2, 1973) was the first program to be broadcast by Rai at 20.30 (and no longer at 21 hours, the first night which lasted since 1957) because of the austerity policy sanctioned by the Italian Government, which came into force that day, and which forced Rai to close the broadcasts in advance, causing an advance of the time of the Telejournal at 20 (hours in force today) and of the first night.
