Thirty-something office lady Chikako Yamaguchi falls for a man at her gym - Shun Izaki. She proposes but he rejects her. That same Izaki saw Chikako's mother Hanae at the shop where she works and they fell in love with each other. The attraction of a younger man changes Hanae's perception of herself as a woman. Chikako enjoys seeing her mother blossom, oblivious to the fact that this is due to the man who rejected her.
