Two nice fishes who live in the Carugati home aquarium are the protagonists of the series. Fishes are witnesses to the life of the Carugati family, formed by the father, mother and two teenage children: Sarah and Chris. The story begins on the day that Sarah and Chris find a new friend in Pippo the only home fish, and put the new fish, Palla, in the aquarium to keep them company, so later on the two fishes meet and become inseparable friends. Pippo is a naive fish, tender, sometimes even a little silly, knows nothing about the sea and the outside world having lived forever in the home aquarium. Palla is a long-running fish, knows everything about the sea and the thousand aquariums in which he lived for years, but knows nothing about the way of life of the human beings of the Carugati family and the world of teenagers.
