Diogo, an honest judge, feels his marriage to Antônia crumble as he falls in love with Betina, who dies in a car accident, just after being abandoned by the magistrate. His heart is transplanted into Paloma, a young woman married to a stripper, Juca, who works in the Women's Club. Diogo (who has an infant son with Antônia, Filipe), feeling guilty, comes close to her, imagining to be next to Betina. Paloma, however, falls in love with him without knowing his involvement with the donor of the heart. Meanwhile, Play becomes the protégé of the mysterious Vidal and succeeds in the Women's Club, eventually becoming a lover of Stella, a rich lady.
