The Opera de quat's sous (original title: Die Dreigroschenoper) is a French-German film directed by Wolfgang Staudte, released in 1963.The film is a new adaptation of the homonymous play by Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht, created on 31 August 1928 at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin, then in French version on 14 October 1930 at the Montparnasse Theatre in Paris. It is a remake of the film bearing the same title, directed by Georg Wilhelm Pabst, released in 1931.
