Wiki.
Vai e Veno (often stylized as Vai~e~Vem) is a 2003 Portuguese-French satirical film, written and starred by João César Monteiro and produced by Paulo Branco. The feature film accompanies João Vuvu, an alter-ego by César Monteiro reminiscent of João de Deus, the protagonist of the Theology of God (kinematic saga initiated in Remembrances of the Yellow House). In Vai e Veu, João Vuvu sees his daily journeys disturbed by the need to employ a woman on a daily basis and the release of his only son's prison. The film was selected for the Cannes Film Festival, where he premiered on May 16, 2003, three months after the death of João César Monteiro, where he was applauded by the international press. It was released commercially in France and Portugal, respectively on June 18 and 20 of the same year.
