Plot.
A rich and lonely old man leaves his old mansion in Ouro Preto to his nephew, who moves into it with his wife. But soon enough the house begins to acquire a will of its own, while the man’s personality undergoes a radical transformation, assimilating the habits of the dead uncle.

The House of Shadows was written and directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen. The story was inspired by a note from Nataniel Hawthorne. In Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, as well as the director's previous film, "Enigma for Demons", were filmed. The police film was released instead of the trilogy of terror.
