The short fiction film Tapa na Pantera was directed by Esmir Filho. The story of a woman who has been using marijuana for thirty years is told in the film. The Substance Films/Ioi Films, edition of Rafael Gomes, and photography of Esmir Filho and Mariana Bastos are all part of the production. The title of the short is due to the fact that the character says that smoking marijuana is like giving a "tapa in the panther": the animal is still and suddenly awakens. According to Maria Alice, the expression already existed and was used in the 1960s, and the character she interpreted would be different from the conservative elderly people we see today. At the 14th Gramado Festival, Tapa na Pantera was presented in the independent category.
