Plot.
As early as 1944, Hitler ordered looted works of art to be sheltered. Over 6,500 pieces are housed in the Altaussee salt mine in Austria. After his suicide on April 30, 1945, and as the Allies approached, the Nazis prepare to blow everything up. When, on May 12, the American "Monuments Men" arrive, the works of art are intact.. Who saved them?
