Macross Frontier: Itsuwari no Utahime (), also known as the international title Macross Frontier: The False Songstress is a 2009 animated film directed by Shōji Kawamori. The film, based on the series Macross Frontier, was announced during the broadcast of the twenty-fifth and last episode of the series, on September 25, 2008. The first trailer of the film was presented on June 27, 2009. The film was screened in the Japanese theatres on November 21, 2009. The film tells in an alternative key the events of the television series from the first to the thirteenth episode. In 2010, the sequel to the film was screened, titled Macross Frontier the Movie: The Wings of Goodbye.
