The Saltimbancos Trapalhões is a Brazilian film starred by the humorous group The Trapalhões in 1981, based on the play The Saltimbancos, by Sergio Bardotti and Luis Enríquez Bacalov, adapted to Portuguese by Chico Buarque, in turn an adaptation of the story The Bremen Musicians of the Grimm Brothers. It was directed by J. B. Tanko and released in 1981, being considered by the critics as the best film of the group. The picker used in the film belongs to the Circus Brothers Power.In 2014, a version was released for the theater, The Saltimbancos Trapalhões - The Musical, mounted by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho, in the following year, was confirmed a new film inspired by the play The Saltimbancos Trapalionos: Towards Hollywood, directed by João Daniel Tikhomiroff, who debuted on January 19, 2017, keeping the Trapalionos survivors Renato Aragão and Dedé Santana and counting on the circus of Marcos Fleeta, who in the film plays Satan, the manager of the circus. In the cast are Leticia Colin as Karina, Emilio Dantas as Frank, Rafael Vitti, Maria Clara Gueiros, Roberto Guilherme and Livian Aragão. In November 2015 the film entered the list made by the Brazilian Association of Film Critics (Abraccine) of the 100 best Brazilian films of all time.
