Following the famous revolution against the Romanovs, the young Countess Zoya fled to Paris with her grandmother. The money comes very quickly to miss, so she decides to incorporate the Russian ballet troupe against the advice of her grandmother. During the first world war, when the Americans came, Zoya immediately fell in love with a colonel, Clayton Andrews They marry and Zoya accompanies her to America. They have two children: a Nikki boy and a Sasha girl.At the 1929 stock market crash, the colonel is ruined and dies of a heart attack. Zoya finds herself alone having to support her children. She later becomes a saleswoman in a luxury shop. Very quickly, her director uses Zoya's title of nobility to attract a clientele and the latter becomes her right arm and her friend. On a business trip to Paris, Zoya meets a rich stylist, Simon Hirsh, also exiled from Russia. He falls in love with her; despite her initial reluctance, Zoya ends up falling under her charm. After their marriage, mother of a third child Matthew, Zoya opens with the help of Simon her own shop whose name will bear her title and emblem.
