Plot.
Mohan, the eldest son of a middle class family believes that he should be superior in everything. He falls in love with Radha and gets married to her. However, issues arise when his wife is forced to go out to work as his job doesn't pay him enough for everyone. This leads to a strain in their relationship as the fact that his wife is more successful, irks him and he ends up doing odd jobs to earn more money. Radha ignorant of his husband's jealousy decides to conduct Mohan's sister Suseela's wedding. But with Mohan adamant to do things on his own, will he and Radha be keep their differences aside for their family?

Suryagandhi (transl. Sunflower) is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by Muktha Srinivasan. It stars Jayalalithaa and Muthuraman, with Savithri, Cho Ramaswamy, Moulee, CID Shakuntala and Manorama in supporting roles. The film was released on 27 July 1973. The film was remade in Malayalam as Priyamvada, in Telugu as Moguda Pellama and in Kannada as Hennu Samsarada Kannu. Kamal Haasan worked under Thangappan as his dance assistant in this film.
