The Cold Light of Day is a 1996 British-Dutch-German thriller directed by Rudolf van den Berg, starring Richard E. Grant, Lynsey Baxter, Perdita Weeks, and Simon Cadell. The film was produced by Meteor Film Productions and is based on an idea of Friedrich Dürrenmatt, who worked out the material immediately after his first filming of the novel entitled Das Vermöm. The Cold Light of Tomorrow is a remake of the film It happened on the brightest day of 1958.
