In Genoa in 1963, in a context reconstructed with little care of the particular and much approximation (they see modern motors, flags of peace and even dressed under the blankets in the scenes of sex) a young man invents a pappane with the benevolence of his mother but falls fatally in love with a beautiful woman. On the other hand, a criminal of little account, who lives at night in the premises near the port between alcoholics and stories of ordinary prostitution, tries a major blow together with a sardine who has just come out of prison looking for money to escape with a prostitute whom he has fallen in love. In the end, fate will win over everyone, even on the fear of God.
