Plot.
After 12 nights of insomnia and feeling like her life is unraveling, Rebecca travels to the Ukraine in a desperate attempt to find a magic cure. There she finally sleeps and discovers the meaning of life through an outrageous cast of characters including a man who is truly happy despite having nothing.

Talking to God is a 2020 independent comedy-drama film which follows a woman's journey to faith. Filmed in New York and Uman, Ukraine, it was written and directed by Maya Batash. The film is partially based on her own experience of travelling to Uman and partially on a story by the 18th-century sage Nachman of Breslov.
