Two families come to the campsite every weekend, where they end everyday situations in chaos. First of all, the protagonists Hajo and Heidi Wüpper, their daughter Nicole and their neighbours Dieter and Roswitha, were all replaced after the first season, but they got successors who took over the respective roles. The new main characters are Benno and Ursula "Uschi-Ewermann with daughter Tanja as well as the neighbour Lothar Fuchs and his partner Stefanie, who later got a son named Max.
