Plot.
Three boys—Kotaro, a ninja in training, Rikiya, a training baseball player and Yosuke, a studying scholar—were living normal lives in Aozora Village. One day, Kotaro, along with his father Tobe, accidentally broke the seal that links the Underworld from the Human World. Eldran, the warrior of light, appeared in front of Kotaro, Rikiya and Yosuke along with three strange machines. They were appointed to save the world from destruction as the Ganba Team and use the robot Ganbaruger.

Genki Bakuhatsu Ganbaruger (元気爆発ガンバルガー, Genki Bakuhatsu Ganbarugā, lit. "Energetic Explosion Ganbaruger" also known by the dub name Energy Bomb and Rocket Kidz) is a 47 episode animated shōnen mecha television series, and the second generation Eldran franchise funded by Tomy right after Matchless Raijin-Oh and produced by Sunrise. It aired on TV Tokyo from April 1, 1992, to February 24, 1993 and it is succeeded by the third generation of the Eldran series Nekketsu Saikyō Go-Saurer. The series takes a year after the events of Matchless Raijin-Oh and it was the first season to introduce helmets, signature colors and signature vehicles as well as another additional auxiliary robot and a super robot formed by three robots.
