The fiction opens with the marriage flash between Commissioner Santamaria and Inspector Morini, but the couple is forced to suspend at the airport of Rome the wedding trip to Santo Domingo due to the death, in a rostrum, of a woman known to both, Giulia Lisetti: the florist who had taken care of the decoration of their marriage. The woman's husband (Paolo Calabresi) seems upset. Maffei, a lively business partner of the Lisetti, is later killed, and the two murders are suspected of the Mafio clan of the Vergara.
