Anchakkallakokkan: Porattu (transl. Boogeyman) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action drama film directed by Ullas Chemban, in his directorial debut and produced by Chemban Vinod Jose under his banner Chembosky Motion Pictures. The film star Lukman Avaran, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Manikandan R. Achari in prominent roles. Manikandan Ayyappa composed the music and Rohit V.S. Variyath edited the film, while Arun Mohan alias Armo handled the cinematography. Co-written by Ullas Chemban and Vikil Venu, the film's narrative follows the investigation of a landlord's homicide and the truths uncovered as events progress.
Development of Anchakkallakokkan began during the COVID-19 lockdown when a friend of Ullas Chemban shared an anecdote about a police officer. Collaborating with Vikil Venu, Ullas commenced scripting in 2022, which took 10 months to complete. Shortly after, pre-production work began. Principal photography took place between January 2023 and March 2023 and was primarily shot in Vandiperiyar and Kumily.
Released on 15 March 2024, the film became a sleeper success, receiving generally positive reviews from critics with praise for cinematography performances, soundtrack, sound mixing and action sequences. Despite this it performed moderately at the box office grossing ₹55.3 million (US$660,000) against a ₹30 million (US$360,000) crore budget.
