Maison Ikkoku (1986)
Plot.
Godai is a ronin (someone who has failed university entrance exams) living in a run down apartment house called Maison Ikkoku. Among the other residents are the nosy Ichinose, the sexy Akemi Roppongi, and the mysterious Yotsuya. The others are given to having wild parties which makes it difficult for Godai to study. Into this mayhem comes the recently widowed Kyoko as the new live-in manager. Godai falls for her, but doesn't have the nerve to tell her. As time passes, their relationship slowly develops amid life at Maison Ikkoku, despite all sorts of romantic hurdles.

Juliette, je t'aime (Maison Ikkoku) is the French adaptation of a Japanese anime in 96 episodes of 25 minutes, created in 1986 by Studio Deen, produced by Kitty Films after Rumiko Takahashi's Manga Ikkoku House. In Japan, the series was broadcast from 26 March 1986 to 2 March 1988 on Fuji TV. In France, the series was broadcast from 5 September 1988 on Club Dorothée on TF1 at 4:25 pm, recast on TMC, Mangas, in 2005 on AB1 and at the end of May 2006 on NT1.Akemi Takada took care of the character design and Kenji Kawai signed some of the compositions of the series.
